Nucleomed Imaging and Diagnostics, established in 2006, is the pioneering nuclear medicine and advanced diagnostics centre in Assam and North East India. Beginning with Gamma SPECT imaging and Iodine therapy in the heart of Guwahati,Assam, India, it has grown into a comprehensive facility now offering globally advanced modalities such as PET-CT, MRI, PET-MRI fusion imaging, Gamma-SPECT, HRCT, Mammography, Ultrasound, and a NABL-accredited pathology laboratory with molecular pathology services.
In 2019, Nucleomed became the first diagnostic center in the region to install a PET-CT scanner in a diagnostic setup, a milestone that transformed oncology, neurology, and cardiac care in this part of the country.
Sustaining such a highly specialized branch of medicine in Assam and the North East, far from the major medical hubs of mainland India, has always been a challenge. The short half-life of isotopes and the hurdles of complex logistics could have made nuclear medicine inaccessible here. Our state-of-the-art setup now offers CT, ultrasound, X-ray, ECG, EMG, EEG, Fibroscan, and a NABL-accredited molecular pathology laboratory, ensuring that every patient receives complete and precise diagnostic support.
